There were so many industries and stores that no great solution to capturing membership numbers. The most common way do so, was to enter the customer’s membership number in the order notes.

Once you have created your field in the Shopify adminl, staff can quickly attach a membership number to the order in POS. This will be attached to the Shopify order as an order attribute which you can then use to tag the order, tag the customer, or pass on to another system using HTTP requests.
